We celebrate the continued success of our youth workers in this circuit. Chris, Lynn and Nettie work so hard to ensure
Clubs continue to meet at Earl Shilton, Burbage (led by Chris) and Sapcote (led by Richard and Sheila). Numbers are encouraging in all groups. We are so grateful to the willing volunteers in these churches for the time and energy they give each week to support these events. It has been great to welcome Nettie to these sessions. The youth café at Barwell has ceased to meet due to low numbers and volunteers are waiting on God to determine the way forward. Working with Amanda, it is hoped to start up a new venture building on the success of Barwell Luncheon Club which meets during the school holidays and is well supported by children.
These sessions alternate between Newbold Verdon and Stoney Stanton on a Thursday evening. There is a regular attendance of around 25 at the sessions at Newbold and we really appreciate the regular support from church members at Stoney Stanton and Newbold Verdon.
These sessions continue to run at Newbold Verdon, but with low numbers attending. Fliers advertising the event have been handed out to youngsters attending the Bus sessions in the hope of attracting more youngsters.
These are planned bi-monthly and we are so grateful for the hospitality provided across the circuit. Since the appointment of Amanda Sadler to the role of Ministry Enabler for Children & Families we have renamed these breakfasts ‘Children & Young People’s Prayer Breakfast’. It is a wonderful
opportunity to come together to pray for the work of God amongst children and young people across the circuit. Thanks to Lynda Coleman for coordinating these breakfasts and encouraging all our churches to get involved. Thanks also to Chris & Amanda for all their hard work preparing for these events. We had a wonderful turnout at the last prayer breakfast at Sapcote where 20 people attended. Thanks to Ken Crosse for his tasty full English Breakfast. The next Prayer Breakfast will be at Burbage on March 23rd at
We ask for your continued prayers for the youth work across our circuit and especially our paid youth workers Chris, Lynn and Nettie.
