We are very excited to announce that Baby Basics – Hinckley will be having an official launch on Saturday the 18th June, 2pm – 4pm at Hinckley Methodist church.
You are all very warmly invited to come along and help us to launch officially and to find out about how this wonderful charity is helping parents who are struggling in our communities. Since March we have sent out 7 Moses baskets full of beautiful clothes, toiletries, and books for baby.
So many of you across the circuit have donated items, volunteered to help us sort the donations and Rachel and I have been overwhelmed with how generous the community has been. We currently have around 20 volunteers who help on a regular basis.
We are making strong links with other community groups, the Salvation Army, Feed the Hungry, Tesco and Wickes who donated the wood for the shelves which are now up at Hinckley Methodist church, and we are very grateful to Eddie and Malcolm who worked hard to put the shelves up for us.
We are very excited to say that the Mayor of Hinckley will be coming along to help us to launch Baby Basics on this day. We are hoping that the Hinckley All Age Community choir will be performing also at this event. I really hope that as many as possible will attend from the circuit to show your support of our circuit of churches being part of a great mission and outreach project.
