Thanks to the Science Museum and to all the people who brought along small pieces of the meteorite there were some very interesting items to view and the exhibitors were happy to share their knowledge of the meteorite with anyone wanting to know more. It is on more or less permanent display at the Space Centre in Leicester. More than 500 people came along making Saturday 12th December very busy indeed. Although not planned as a fundraiser event people were very generous donating £750 pounds to the Church. Part of this will be added to the £350 already donated to “Beads of Courage” the children’s cancer charity and the rest will go to Church funds.
